Secure and Free Conference/Meeting Options

Not everyone loves, or is using, Zoom. Common meeting/chat/conference options include gotomeeting (common in business), Cisco WebEx (same, but so much to pre-install), Skype (the used-to-be-so-much-better pioneer), and, of course, Google Hangouts/Hangouts meet (many already have access but just don't use it).

But there are even better options. 



  1. Hibox.co claims to be task management, business chat, and video calls.  You can start a live face-to-face video call with your team with just one click. No integrations or downloads required. 
  2. Riot (built on Matrix) and Tox are likely among the most secure, however...
  3. Our favorite to date:  Jitsi (also jit.si) is probably just as good, needs no installation on desktop, handles up to 200 participants, _and_ has dial-in-by-phone audio conference for free!
